Learn how to make the best over easy eggs that have set whites and a runny yolk. They make a delicious and protein packed simple breakfast in just minutes. Grab some toast for the perfect dippy eggs.
Add raw eggs carefully one at a time to the melted butter.
Cook for 1-2 minutes. The egg whites should be set.
Carefully flip (trying not to break the yolk) and cook the second side for another 30 seconds for best results. They should have a runny egg yolk and set whites.
Sprinkle with a dash of salt and pepper and any other seasonings if desired..
Serve.
Notes
Only cook 1-2 eggs at a time to avoid over crowding the pan.
Heat over medium low heat. Cooking too high may overcook or potentially burn the whites.
Choose a non-stick frying pan for cooking so the eggs don’t stick. I like using a cast iron skillet or a ceramic coated pan for a healthy non-stick option.
Use fresh eggs. Older ones tend to spread apart more and not hold their shape as well.
